Commercial Litigation Attorney

A law firm in Las Vegas, NV is seeking a dedicated and skilled Commercial Litigation Attorney to join its team. Key Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in commercial litigation cases, including contract disputes, business torts, and other corporate matters
• Conduct thorough legal research to support litigation strategies and client advisement
• Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery responses
• Engage in settlement negotiations, mediation, and arbitration, as needed
• Provide timely, well-informed legal counsel to clients and partners
• Prepare for and attend court hearings and trials, presenting evidence and making arguments as required
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of industry trends, relevant laws, and regulations
• Collaborate with other attorneys and staff members to ensure seamless case management
• Manage case files and client communications to ensure deadlines are met and all procedural requirements are followed

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in commercial litigation
• Superior legal research and writing skills, with a strong attention to detail
• Excellent academic performance and a proven track record of success in legal practice
• Ability to independently manage a caseload and prioritize tasks efficiently
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for clear and persuasive client interaction
• High level of professionalism and a strong work ethic
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards of legal work

Educational Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• Licensed to practice law in Nevada or eligibility to become licensed in Nevada

Certifications:

• Active membership in the State Bar of Nevada (or ability to gain admission within a reasonable period)

Preferred Skills:

• Proficient in legal research tools and case management software
• Experience with alternative dispute resolution methods, including mediation and arbitration
• Familiarity with business law and corporate governance
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to advocate effectively in various legal settings
