Associate Attorney

Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney in Wichita, KS, with remote work considered. The role offers extensive courtroom experience through regular appearances and involves managing contested litigation, reviewing claims and pleadings, and supporting all aspects of the litigation process.

Duties

• Appear in court three days a week.
• Review new claims and pleadings for compliance.
• Draft, review, and argue motions; conduct trials and arbitrations.
• Manage communication with opposing counsel.
• Prepare and respond to discovery and counterclaims.

Requirements

• JD; Missouri Bar required, Kansas Bar desirable.
• Must hold a Kansas or Indiana license.
• Open to all experience levels and practice areas.
• Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel; Collection Master preferred.
• Strong communication, independence, judgment, and attention to detail.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD)

Certifications

• Missouri Bar
• Kansas Bar (desirable)

Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel.
