Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney in Waltham, MA, to join its litigation team. The role involves handling disputes related to probate, trusts, estates, fiduciary relationships, and closely held business matters. Duties

  • Handle will and trust contests.
  • Address breach of fiduciary duty and related disputes.
  • Manage contested accountings and estate administration disputes.
  • Draft Vaughan affidavits and prenuptial agreements.
  • Engage in trust interpretation and modification disputes.
  • Resolve business and shareholder/member disputes.
  • Conduct real estate and land use litigation.
  • Draft legal documents for Massachusetts courts.
  • Conduct legal research on relevant issues.
  • Collaborate with planning attorneys and clients.
  • Manage written discovery and document-intensive files.
  • Participate in depositions and court appearances.
  • Communicate professionally with clients and opposing counsel.
  • Collaborate with estate planning, tax, and business groups.

Requirements

  • J.D. and admission to the Massachusetts bar.
  • 1-4 years of litigation experience preferred.
  • Strong legal research and written advocacy skills.
  • Interest in trusts, estates, and fiduciary law.
  • Ability to handle sensitive family matters with discretion.
  • Organized and detail-oriented.

Education
