Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Intellectual Property Litigation Associate with 3 to 4 years of experience in patent and/or trade secret litigation to join its practice group in Chicago, IL. Admission to the Bar in the respective state, active and in good standing, is required.

Duties

• Engage in patent and trade secret litigation.
• Conduct technical analysis and draft legal documents.
• Collaborate with a team on high-stakes cases.
• Assume immediate responsibility in case management.

Requirements

• Bar admission in Washington, DC, Illinois, or New York.
• 3 to 4 years of relevant litigation experience.
• Strong writing, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Education

• Undergraduate degree in electrical engineering or computer science.

Certifications

• Registration to practice before the USPTO preferred.

Skills

• Advanced science or technical degree is a plus.
• Industry experience and computer programming skills are advantageous.
