A forward-thinking family law firm is actively seeking a Divorce & Family Law Attorney to join its team in a lead counsel capacity. This firm focuses on representing women navigating emotionally complex divorces, often involving controlling or manipulative spouses. Location

Duties

  • Serve as lead attorney (“first chair”) in marital and family law matters

  • Manage cases from initial consultation through trial, including evidentiary hearings

  • Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and legal correspondence

  • Advocate for clients in mediation, hearings, and trial settings

  • Communicate regularly with clients, offering guidance and reassurance throughout emotionally sensitive legal matters

  • Utilize structured internal systems and project management tools for case management

  • Participate in internal training and follow standardized procedures for client representation

  • Support and potentially engage in firm-approved marketing or client development activities

  • Collaborate with firm attorneys and staff in a supportive and feedback-oriented environment

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Florida family law practice

  • Comfortable handling all aspects of divorce and family law cases, including litigation

  • Willing and able to commute to firm offices in Palm Beach County on short notice when required

  • Passion for helping clients navigate emotionally charged legal situations

  • Strong interest in working within a process-driven, collaborative law firm environment

  • Open to learning and using new technologies and methods for delivering legal services

  • Willingness to receive mentorship and participate in structured team processes

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Active license to practice law in the State of Florida

  • Exceptional interpersonal communication and listening skills
