Job Overview

A law firm seeks a full-time, remote Associate Attorney specializing in workers' compensation law for candidates based in the California Bay Area. This role involves managing a caseload, supporting clients through the legal process, and collaborating with senior attorneys and support staff in a dynamic environment.

Duties

  • Manage a docket of workers' compensation cases through resolution.
  • Prepare clients for depositions and attend depositions.
  • Respond to client inquiries and guide matters toward resolution.
  • Communicate via email and phone in a timely and professional manner.
  • Provide direction and support to paralegals and other staff.
  • Participate in team activities and contribute to a positive work environment.
  • Offer feedback to improve processes and client service.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of workers' compensation experience.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with depositions, including medical depositions, preferred.
  • Must reside in Northern California.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar.
