Business Law Associate or Senior Counsel

Job Overview

A law firm seeks a transactional associate with at least three years of experience or a senior counsel with at least eight years of experience to join the investment management team of their Business Law Group in one of their office locations, including Chicago, Denver, Indianapolis, Madison, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, Naples, Phoenix, San Diego, St. Louis, Tampa, Tucson, and Washington D.C.

Duties

• Handle investment adviser, investment company, and broker-dealer regulatory compliance and formation.
• Represent institutional investors in various transactions.
• Manage private fund formation and related transactions.
• Engage in general corporate work within the investment management space.

Requirements

• Minimum of three years of experience for associates; eight years for senior counsel.
• Experience in investment management matters is essential.
• Excellent academic credentials required.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills necessary.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with both lawyers and non-lawyers.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications

• Bar admission in the relevant state.
