Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Personal Injury Attorney in Billings, MT. This role involves advocating for clients who have suffered injuries due to negligence or wrongdoing. Duties

  • Represent clients in personal injury matters, including motor vehicle accidents and workplace injuries.
  • Manage and litigate mass tort cases from inception through resolution.
  • Conduct case assessments, client interviews, and investigations.
  • Develop legal strategies and prepare cases for litigation or settlement.
  • Draft and file legal documents, including pleadings and motions.
  • Attend depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials.
  • Maintain clear communication with clients, explaining legal processes.
  • Negotiate with insurance companies and opposing counsel.
  • Collaborate with paralegals and support staff for case development.
  • Maintain accurate case files and documentation.
  • Monitor deadlines and procedural rules to protect client rights.
  • Stay informed on relevant personal injury laws and developments.

Requirements

  • Active license to practice law in the State of Montana.
  • 2+ years of experience in personal injury law preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of civil litigation procedures and court rules.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal research platforms.
  • Valid driver's license.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active Montana State Bar membership.
