Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney specializing in Estate Planning, Probate, Trusts, and Conservatorships in San Diego, CA. This role offers a hybrid/remote work environment, requiring residency in or near Orange County or San Diego County.

Duties

  • Manage and resolve a diverse caseload of Probate, Trust, Estate Planning, and Conservatorship matters from start to finish.
  • Represent clients in court, mediations, and depositions throughout Southern California.
  • Lead strategy sessions and maintain proactive, empathetic communication with clients.
  • Draft estate plans, petitions, motions, objections, and settlement agreements.
  • Embrace and adapt to the firm's technology stack to improve efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure seamless case movement and elite client care.

Requirements

  • 1-5+ years of experience in Estate Planning, Probate, Trusts, and Estates.
  • Active member in good standing with the California State Bar.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to embrace technology and work independently while being a supportive team player.
  • Must reside in or be able to appear in person in San Diego, Orange, Los Angeles, and Riverside counties.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active California State Bar membership.

  • Proficient in verbal communication.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
