Attorney (Insurance Coverage and Coverage Litigation)

Job Overview

A law firm seeks an attorney to join its insurance coverage practice in Denver, CO. This role involves representing insurers in complex commercial and insurance litigation matters, focusing on commercial general liability and excess policies.

Duties

• Analyze rights and obligations under insurance policies and draft coverage opinions.
• Conduct legal research and draft memoranda.
• Prepare and analyze pleadings, discovery, motions, and legal correspondence.
• Meet and confer with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties.
• Attend depositions, hearings, and mediations.
• Manage matters, deadlines, and client communication proactively.

Requirements

• Admitted to practice in California; other bar admissions considered for experienced candidates.
• Experience in insurance coverage, coverage litigation, or commercial litigation with an interest in insurance coverage.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and oral communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive and time-sensitive matters.
• Effective problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Bar admission in California or other relevant jurisdiction.
