Insurance and Financial Services Litigation Associate

Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Insurance and Financial Services Litigation Associate in the Los Angeles area. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of litigation experience and will join a team handling ERISA, disability, life, health, long-term care, fraud, and employer-plan benefit matters.

Duties

• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests/responses, subpoenas, and additional litigation documents.
• Engage with in-house clients, experts, third-party administrators, opposing counsel, and witnesses.
• Review, investigate, and assess factual and legal aspects of claims.
• Take and/or defend depositions.
• Assist in trial and arbitration preparation, including preparing motions in limine, jury instructions, trial briefs, exhibits, and witnesses for testimony.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of litigation experience.
• Admission to the State Bar of California.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Admission to the State Bar of California.
