Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Energy and Climate Solutions Associate in Seattle, WA. The ideal candidate will focus on transactional work within the energy sector, engaging with a diverse range of clients and projects.

Duties

  • Analyze and draft key project development contracts, including power purchase agreements.
  • Work on framework commercial agreements and joint venture transactions.
  • Serve as the primary associate on project and portfolio acquisitions and related financing support.
  • Utilize and adapt commercial structures for various energy projects.
  • Engage in daily direct contact with clients, partners, and counterparty counsel.

Requirements

  • 3rd to 7th year associate with a focus on transactional work in the energy sector.
  • Strong communication and project management skills.
  • Desire to develop mastery in structuring and negotiating energy project development transactions.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction.

Skills

  • Proficiency in drafting and analyzing complex contracts.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
