Leveraged Finance Associate

Job Overview

A law firm seeks a finance associate with a focus on fund finance and private credit transactions to join its Leveraged Finance subgroup in Baltimore, MD. Candidates should have a minimum of four years of relevant experience in fund finance, private credit, leveraged finance, debt capital markets, and/or structured finance.

Duties

• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case preparation and strategy.
• Draft well-written legal documents, including briefs, motions, and contracts.
• Assist in managing complex cases and transactions from inception to resolution.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships by providing support and advice.
• Collaborate with other professionals to develop innovative case strategies.
• Participate in high-level legal activities such as court hearings and negotiations.
• Ensure compliance with legal standards and regulations.
• Engage in professional development to enhance legal knowledge and skills.
• Contribute to firm programs, civic organizations, and pro bono work.

Requirements

• Minimum of four years of leverage finance experience.
• Experience with AmLaw 100 firm preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently.

Education

• JD degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admitted to practice in the state of Maryland.
