Consumer Law Attorney

Job Overview

A law firm seeks a motivated Consumer Law Attorney to join their expanding practice in Melbourne, FL. This full-time, in-person position is ideal for an attorney with 0-5 years of experience interested in developing strong litigation skills in a fast-paced and meaningful practice area.

Duties

• Manage and litigate consumer protection cases from pre-suit through trial.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, and legal correspondence.
• Conduct legal research and prepare case strategy recommendations.
• Attend hearings, mediations, depositions, and trials.
• Communicate regularly with clients regarding case updates and legal strategy.
• Work closely with paralegals and support staff to efficiently move cases forward.
• Maintain organized case files and comply with court deadlines.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active member of The Florida Bar in good standing.
• 0-5 years of litigation experience preferred.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal communication and advocacy abilities.
