Job Overview:
A leading national litigation firm is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney with experience in general liability and construction defect litigation to join its practice group. This position is available across multiple offices in California and is ideal for attorneys with at least three years of relevant experience who can independently manage complex caseloads. The firm is known for handling a wide range of civil matters, including product liability, toxic tort, local government defense, and commercial litigation. This opportunity offers a hybrid or potentially remote work environment and a supportive, team-oriented culture. Recruitment is being conducted on behalf of the firm.

Location:

  • Los Angeles, CA

Duties:

  • Handle general liability and construction defect matters for local and national clients across California

  • Independently manage a litigation caseload from pre-suit through trial

  • Conduct and defend depositions, including plaintiff and expert witnesses

  • Prepare witnesses for deposition and trial

  • Draft and respond to discovery, motions, and pleadings

  • Prepare and file court documents, including e-filing in state and federal courts

  • Assist with trial preparation and courtroom support

  • Maintain accurate and timely billing records

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience in general liability and/or construction defect practice areas

  • Strong background in motion practice and deposition work

  • Proven ability to work independently and manage complex litigation

  • Experience taking lead on depositions is preferred

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the California State Bar (required)

Skills:

  • Superior legal research and writing skills

  • Strong oral advocacy and communication abilities

  • Ability to analyze and manage complex legal issues

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail

  • Capable of multitasking and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Proficient with electronic filing systems and legal practice technologies
