Although this firm bills itself out as full service, it is in fact a well-diversified technology boutique. This medium-sized office is happy to handle corporate formation, mergers and acquisitions, and technology transactions, but generally only for clients who originally came to the firm for the 'pure' intellectual property practice--patent prosecution, litigation, and trademark work. With more non-specialists than most intellectual property firms, the environment here is much more entrepreneurial and business minded than some practices we've seen. And, despite an institutional mentoring program, associates here are trained with early responsibility and the need for each attorney to work on large client files, regardless of that attorney's practice area. Good salary and down to earth partners have kept associates here since the days of their summer clerkship--a pretty remarkable feat.
