Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney in Connecticut to join their dynamic Foreclosure Department. This role offers the opportunity to engage in the fast-paced environment of a prestigious legal group, with potential for growth based on performance.

Duties

  • Provide status updates, legal analysis, and strategy recommendations to clients.
  • Manage a caseload from assignment to conclusion under senior attorney supervision.
  • Review loan documents, financials, and demand letters before filing actions.
  • Draft and review pleadings and correspondence for foreclosure actions.
  • Update internal systems with findings, documentation, and recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal foreclosure, bankruptcy, and collections requirements.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with LPS/BKFS, Vendorscape, Tempo is helpful.
  • Knowledge of Connecticut foreclosure law and court processes.
  • Strong negotiation and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently with meticulous analytical skills.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer and general office skills.

Education

  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Connecticut State Bar Membership (New York preferred but not required).

Skills

  • Basic principles of Quality Assurance and/or Quality Control preferred.
