Partner-Level Attorney

Job Overview:

A distinguished law firm based in Tampa, FL, is expanding its leadership bench and seeks a dynamic, business-savvy attorney at the partner level with a focus on corporate mergers and acquisitions. This role is designed for a seasoned legal professional ready to contribute strategic vision, manage complex transactions, and deepen client relationships in a fast-paced practice group.

Duties:

  • Lead and oversee M&A transactions from initial structuring through closing

  • Provide strategic guidance to clients on complex corporate matters

  • Collaborate with firm leadership on business development initiatives

  • Supervise and mentor junior attorneys and support staff

  • Maintain and grow existing client relationships

  • Draft, review, and negotiate key agreements related to acquisitions, divestitures, and corporate restructures

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and governance standards in all transactions

Requirements:

  • Experience practicing law, with a concentration in corporate transactions and M&A

  • Demonstrated ability to originate business or manage a portable book of business

  • Proven track record of leading sophisticated transactional matters

  • Willingness to seek admission to The Florida Bar, if not currently licensed

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Admission to at least one U.S. state bar in good standing

  • Eligibility and willingness to obtain admission to The Florida Bar

Skills:

  • Advanced negotiation and drafting abilities

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Team leadership and client management expertise

  • Clear and persuasive communication style, both verbal and written

  • Bilingual fluency in Spanish is strongly preferred
