Job Overview:
A premier law firm in Miami is seeking a Real Estate Finance Associate Attorney with 3 to 7 years of relevant experience to join its sophisticated commercial real estate finance practice. The position offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of high-value financing transactions including mortgage and mezzanine lending, preferred equity structures, and complex syndicated loan deals. Location:

  • Miami, FL

Duties:

  • Structure, draft, and negotiate documentation for commercial real estate finance transactions

  • Handle mortgage and mezzanine loan originations, preferred equity investments, and bridge/permanent loans

  • Manage loan participations, syndications, and co-lender or intercreditor arrangements

  • Advise clients on real estate workouts, loan modifications, and restructurings

  • Coordinate with clients, opposing counsel, and internal legal teams to close transactions efficiently

  • Conduct legal due diligence related to borrower entities, title, and collateral review

  • Stay informed on market trends, regulatory updates, and emerging structures in real estate finance

Requirements:

  • 3 to 7 years of commercial real estate finance experience at a nationally recognized law firm

  • Significant experience with a range of finance instruments, including senior and mezzanine debt

  • Strong understanding of loan syndication structures and intercreditor arrangements

  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex transactions from start to finish

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school

  • Outstanding academic credentials required

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Florida State Bar or eligibility to waive in

Skills:

  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and legal analysis skills

  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management abilities

  • Effective communicator and team collaborator

  • Able to manage multiple matters simultaneously and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
