Junior Associate Attorney Bankruptcy and Business Restructuring

A law firm in Houston, TX, is seeking an ambitious Junior Associate Attorney with at least one year of professional experience to join its growing team. This role is centered on representing clients in bankruptcy cases, including Chapter 11 filings and corporate restructurings. The ideal candidate will also have exposure to or interest in commercial litigation and possess excellent legal writing abilities. Key Responsibilities

• Advocate for clients in bankruptcy-related matters, including reorganization under Chapter 11 and business restructurings.
• Draft, review, and refine a variety of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs, with a focus on clarity and accuracy.
• Conduct detailed legal research to develop strategies and strengthen case positions.
• Provide counsel and guidance to businesses facing financial challenges, including insolvency or debt restructuring.
• Support senior attorneys in preparing for court appearances, negotiations, and hearings related to bankruptcy proceedings.
• Assist with commercial litigation cases and handle disputes involving contracts, business relationships, or financial claims.

Required Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a recognized law school.
• Active license to practice law in the state of Texas.
• A minimum of one year of bankruptcy law experience, emphasizing Chapter 11 cases or business restructuring.
• Strong written communication and legal analysis skills.
