A law firm seeks an Experienced Personal Injury Litigation Attorney licensed in the state of Utah to join their team in Sandy, UT. The attorney will manage litigation strategies and processes in personal injury law, oversee daily litigation operations, and lead a team of case managers and legal assistants. The role requires handling conflicting assignments and a substantial caseload.

Duties

  • Counsel staff on alternative and creative case settlement methods.
  • Conduct research, prepare briefs and documents, and interpret laws and legislation.
  • Gather and analyze data, summarizing findings effectively.
  • Advise clients on legal aspects of their cases.
  • Represent clients in civil litigation and other legal proceedings.
  • Maintain professional standards towards the firm and its clients.
  • Manage multiple cases and meet daily deadlines.
  • Assist negotiators in developing settlement strategies.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctorate, current license in Utah; licensed in Idaho and/or Washington is a plus.
  • 2-5 years of experience in personal injury litigation.
  • Strong reading comprehension, active listening, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Solid knowledge of the legal system, including laws, legal codes, and court procedures.
  • Ability to develop trust with constituents and staff, offering compassion to injured individuals.

Education

  • Juris Doctorate

Certifications
