Job Overview
A law firm seeks a Technology Specialist in Chemistry for its Dallas, TX office. This role is integral to the Intellectual Property practice, offering the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and top-tier clients.

Duties

  • Draft patent applications, including descriptions and figures.
  • Correspond with the patent office regarding pending applications.
  • Advise patent litigation teams based on technical expertise.
  • Interview inventors about new ideas.

 

Requirements

  • PhD in Chemistry or a closely related field with small molecule and/or pharmaceutical experience.
  • 1-3 years of patent drafting and/or prosecution experience.
  • Superior writing skills and excellent academic credentials.
  • Registration before the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office (preferred).

 

Education

  • PhD in Chemistry or closely related field.

 

Certifications

  • U.S. Patent & Trademark Office registration (preferred).
