Associate - Litigation and Merger Control in Antitrust and Competition

Job Overview

A law firm seeks a skilled associate with expertise in antitrust litigation and/or merger control to join its expanding practice in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of two years of relevant experience and strong writing skills, joining the 3rd to 7th year associate class.

Duties

• Assist in navigating antitrust regimes and securing merger approvals.
• Support in resolving or defending against litigation and enforcement challenges.
• Collaborate with a team to address local and cross-border antitrust risks.
• Engage in defending clients in private and public damages litigation.
• Participate in government investigations and enforcement actions.

Requirements

• Minimum of two years of experience in antitrust litigation and/or merger control.
• Substantive knowledge of antitrust law.
• Strong writing and analytical skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the bar in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
