Job Overview

A law firm seeks a mid-level associate to join its Bankruptcy and Restructuring Group in Dallas, TX, with a strong preference for candidates based in New York. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in complex bankruptcy and restructuring matters.

Duties

  • Represent debtors, creditors, lenders, investors, and other stakeholders in bankruptcy and restructuring cases.
  • Handle Chapter 11 proceedings and out-of-court restructurings.
  • Engage in distressed M&A transactions and creditor negotiations.
  • Navigate complex subject matter quickly and effectively.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in a law firm or similar environment.
  • Exposure to distressed investing, private credit, and capital solutions.
  • Experience in distressed asset sales and acquisitions preferred.
  • Superior writing, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Active bar admission in the jurisdiction of intended practice.
