Job Overview

A law firm seeks an associate attorney specializing in probate and trust litigation to join their team in Dallas, TX. This role involves working closely with experienced attorneys on various legal matters, offering substantial hands-on experience and skill development in a specialized area of law.

Duties

  • Conduct legal research and analysis on probate and trust matters.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Manage discovery processes, including document collection, review, and production.
  • Assist in the preparation of cases for trial and appellate proceedings.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the courts.
  • Attend court hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Texas State Bar in good standing.
  • 5-8 years of experience in civil litigation, with probate, estate, and trust and/or family law litigation preferred.
  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
