Job Title: Senior Trusts And Estates Attorney 

Job Overview:
A distinguished law firm based in San Francisco, CA, is actively seeking an experienced legal professional to support its estate planning and trust administration practice. The role focuses on creating and managing tailored solutions for affluent individuals and families, requiring deep knowledge of complex estate strategies and a strong command of relevant legal frameworks.

Duties:

  • Handle comprehensive trust administration matters for high-net-worth clients

  • Draft a wide range of estate planning instruments, including revocable and irrevocable trusts

  • Design and implement advanced wealth transfer strategies

  • Guide clients through legal processes relating to generational wealth planning

  • Collaborate with other attorneys and advisors on complex tax and fiduciary issues

  • Maintain compliance with all state and federal estate planning regulations

  • Stay current on relevant tax laws and legal developments affecting estate planning

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in trusts and estates law

  • Demonstrated expertise in sophisticated estate planning and trust structures

  • Prior experience managing complex client relationships

  • Proven ability to handle high-level planning independently

  • Admittance to the California State Bar (mandatory)

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

  • Advanced coursework or credentials in estate planning or tax law are preferred

Certifications:

  • LL.M. in Taxation strongly preferred but not required

  • Active and in good standing membership with the California Bar

Skills:

  • Exceptional legal drafting and analytical abilities

  • Excellent written and verbal communication

  • Strategic thinking with a solutions-oriented mindset

  • Strong interpersonal skills for working with sophisticated clients and advisors

  • Proficiency with estate planning software and document management systems
