A law firm in San Francisco is seeking an Affordable Housing Transactional Attorney with extensive experience in affordable housing policy matters and development transactions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in negotiating and drafting various legal documents related to affordable housing, including multifamily developments.

 

Duties:

  • Manage affordable housing development and financing transactions
  • Negotiate and draft loan documents, ground leases, regulatory agreements, easements, and related legal documents for multifamily developments
  • Provide legal counsel on first-time homebuyer programs, construction documents, and commercial leases
  • Collaborate with clients, government agencies, and other stakeholders to facilitate affordable housing projects
  • Stay updated on relevant affordable housing regulations and policies

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school
  • 6-8 years of experience in affordable housing policy matters and development transactions
  • Proficiency in negotiating and drafting legal documents for multifamily developments
  • Knowledge of first-time homebuyer programs, construction documents, and commercial leases is advantageous
  • Strong understanding of affordable housing regulations and financing mechanisms

 

Education:

Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school

 

Certifications:

Relevant certifications related to affordable housing law or finance are desirable

 

Skills:

  • Excellent negotiation and drafting skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with clients and stakeholders
  • Thorough understanding of affordable housing policies and regulations
