Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Junior Corporate Finance Associate to join its corporate finance practice in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will have one to three years of legal experience, with a focus on finance transactions.

Duties

• Represent lenders and/or borrowers in finance transactions.
• Draft, negotiate, and close asset-based, real estate, and cash flow loans.
• Engage in general transactional work as needed.
• Collaborate with a well-established team on various projects.

Requirements

• 1+ years of transferable legal experience.
• Strong academic credentials and excellent drafting skills.
• High level of motivation and attention to detail.
• Licensed or eligible to become licensed to practice law in Illinois.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active member of the Illinois Bar or ability to waive in.

Skills

• Strong negotiation and communication skills.

• Proficiency in legal research and writing.
