Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney in Miami, FL. This role is ideal for a strategic litigator who excels in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, enjoys mentoring junior attorneys, and is committed to delivering high-quality legal work for institutional clients.

Duties

  • Independently manage a high-volume caseload of complex litigation matters across all phases.
  • Serve as lead counsel in hearings, mediations, depositions, and trials.
  • Evaluate legal exposure and develop strategic litigation plans.
  • Draft and argue substantive motions, including motions to dismiss and for summary judgment.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and draft pleadings, memoranda, and discovery responses.
  • Oversee all aspects of written and oral discovery.
  • Provide clear legal counsel to clients regarding case status and litigation options.
  • Respond to client and investor inquiries and participate in audits.
  • Conduct legal analysis and provide recommendations on a broad range of issues.
  • Review and approve legal work produced by junior attorneys and staff.
  • Mentor and support junior team members.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to align legal strategy.
  • Contribute to the improvement of internal processes and litigation workflows.
  • Remain current on changes in laws, court rules, and industry trends.
  • Work across multiple practice areas as needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of law practice experience.
  • Florida law license required.
  • Ability to commute to Miami, FL 33161.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Florida.
