Job Title: Associate Attorney

Job Overview:
A well-established law firm located in Davenport, IA, is seeking an Associate Attorney with 0-5 years of experience. Candidates who are currently in their final year of law school (3L students) are also encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will handle a variety of civil and workers' compensation cases, with the opportunity to assist in divorce and estate planning matters. Duties:

• Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including motions, briefs, and discovery requests.
• Assist with civil litigation and workers' compensation cases, providing support throughout all stages of case management.
• Attend court hearings, depositions, and mediations as needed.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on client case strategies and case evaluations.
• Manage caseload efficiently while ensuring client deadlines and expectations are met.
• Maintain professional conduct and uphold the highest standards of legal ethics.
• Opportunity to assist with additional practice areas, including divorce and estate planning matters.

Requirements:

• 0-5 years of legal experience, with preference given to candidates who have experience in insurance defense.
• Must be licensed to practice law in Iowa, or be in the process of obtaining licensure.
• Willingness to pursue Illinois licensure after hire.
• Strong research, writing, and communication skills.
• Comfortable attending court proceedings and depositions.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Applicants in their final year of law school (3L students) will also be considered.

Certifications:

• Active or pending licensure in Iowa.
• Illinois licensure is required or expected after hire.
