A law firm seeks a Tax Associate with one to three years of tax credit experience to join its tax practice group in Salt Lake City, UT. The role involves working with community development and renewable energy tax credits and Opportunity Zone transactions.

Duties

• Engage in community development and renewable energy tax credit projects.
• Participate in Opportunity Zone transactions.
• Assist in transactional tax practice, including corporate and partnership business transactions.
• Draft and negotiate tax-related provisions in M&A transaction documents.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of tax credit experience.
• Substantive experience with community development and renewable energy tax credits.
• Experience with Opportunity Zone transactions.
• Excellent communication and writing skills.

Education

• L.L.M. in Tax.

Certifications

• Admission to practice law in the state of practice.
