Job Overview
A law firm seeks a Litigation Attorney in Agoura Hills, CA, to manage HOA-related litigation matters. This role involves handling cases from inception through resolution and supporting general counsel matters for HOA clients.

Duties

  • Manage all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motions, settlement, and trial preparation.
  • Handle court appearances, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
  • Advise HOA boards and property managers on legal disputes, risk, and strategy.
  • Assist with general counsel matters, including reviewing governing documents and contracts.
  • Draft legal opinions, pleadings, and client communications.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and staff to deliver high-quality client service.
  • Maintain and manage an independent caseload efficiently.

Requirements

  • Active member of the California State Bar (in good standing).
  • Minimum 7 years of civil litigation experience.
  • Experience in HOA, real estate, or business litigation preferred.
  • Interest or experience in transactional/general counsel work is a plus.
  • Strong writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.
  • Ability to manage cases independently while working in a team environment.
  • Trial experience is a plus.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active California State Bar license.
