Entry Level Associate Attorney

Job Overview

A law firm seeks an entry level associate attorney for a full-time position, available in multiple locations or remotely. The role requires active membership in the Washington State Bar and a passion for assisting individuals, particularly those affected by work injuries. The position involves significant litigation work before the Board of Industrial Insurance Appeals.

Duties

• Participate in all aspects of litigation from the start.
• Evaluate cases, assess strengths and weaknesses, and develop strategies.
• Review and understand every detail of assigned claim files.
• Identify elements needed to meet the burden for each issue under appeal.
• Assist in preparing and responding to discovery requests.
• Prepare and respond to pre-hearing and post-hearing pleadings.
• Prepare witnesses and present lay and expert testimony.
• Cross-examine lay and expert witnesses.

Requirements

• Active membership in the Washington State Bar.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to winning cases.
• Enthusiasm for helping individuals after work injuries.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Washington State Bar membership.
