Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney in Scottsdale, Arizona. Duties

  • Represent clients in litigation involving guardianships, conservatorships, and fiduciary misconduct.
  • Advise clients on legal risks and strategies throughout the litigation process.
  • Communicate proactively with clients regarding case status and deadlines.
  • Evaluate cases and develop tailored litigation strategies.
  • Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, and other court filings.
  • Conduct discovery, including depositions and subpoenas.
  • Perform legal research and apply findings to complex scenarios.
  • Represent clients in probate court and related proceedings.
  • Prepare cases for mediation, trial, or settlement discussions.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and team members.
  • Take ownership of cases with increasing independence.

Requirements

  • 0-4 years of experience in complex civil litigation (probate/trust/estate preferred).
  • Active license in good standing to practice law in Arizona.
  • Excellent written and oral advocacy skills.
  • Strong research, organizational, and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal research platforms.
  • Professionalism, integrity, and compassion for clients.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Arizona.

Skills

  • Strong advocacy and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
  • Proficient in legal research and writing.
