Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Business Litigation Attorney to join its litigation practice in Grandview, OH. The ideal candidate is a licensed Ohio attorney with a minimum of three years of general litigation experience, motivated and detail-oriented, with an interest in long-term partnership potential within a collaborative and professional work environment.

Duties

• Cultivate and strengthen relationships with existing clients while developing new client opportunities.
• Manage a case docket from start to finish, maintaining and independently handling all assigned matters.
• Provide legal advice and representation to clients in a variety of business litigation matters.
• Draft pleadings, discovery, motions, and other litigation-related documents.
• Represent clients in state and federal court proceedings, including depositions, hearings, and trials.
• Report case progress to the practice group leader and maintain compliance with firm protocols.
• Collaborate, communicate, and cooperate with attorneys and staff on assigned cases.
• Contribute to business development and firm growth through networking, bar association engagement, and educational presentations.

Requirements

• Licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio.
• Admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio.
• Minimum three (3) years of general litigation experience.
• Strong research, legal writing, document review, and organizational skills.
• Practical experience in depositions, oral arguments, and court appearances.
• Ability to identify risks and propose effective solutions to mitigate them.
• Entrepreneurial-minded approach to developing new client relationships.
• A collaborative team player with interest in long-term firm growth and leadership.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Ohio.
