Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney in Glendale, CA, with a remote option available. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in workers' compensation defense and the ability to manage a growing caseload independently.

Duties

  • Manage a full caseload of workers' compensation defense matters, including case analysis and resolution.
  • Provide legal advice on case strategy, settlement options, and risk management.
  • Represent clients at depositions, hearings, and trials before the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board.
  • Draft and file legal documents, including motions, briefs, and settlement agreements.
  • Negotiate settlements and resolve liens on behalf of clients.
  • Maintain strong client relationships through clear communication and timely updates.
  • Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff for effective legal representation.

Requirements

  • Active membership in the State Bar of California.
  • 3+ years of experience in workers' compensation defense law.
  • Strong knowledge of California workers' compensation laws and procedures.
  • Proven ability to handle complex litigation matters.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and legal writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
