A law firm seeks a Junior to Midlevel Transactional Associate in Santa Barbara, CA. The ideal candidate will have two to six years of experience and a strong work ethic, ready to transition to assignments with greater responsibility.

Duties

  • Draft, review, and negotiate transactional documents, including purchase agreements and commercial contracts.
  • Conduct comprehensive diligence reviews to identify potential risks.
  • Assist in structuring and executing complex corporate transactions.
  • Perform legal research and provide strategic advice on transactional matters.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to achieve client objectives.
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines with attention to detail.
  • Delegate work to paralegals and supervise their output for accuracy.

Requirements

  • Admitted to practice before the California Bar.
  • Two to six years' experience in business and corporate law.
  • Excellent reading comprehension, writing, and communication skills.
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • California Bar admission.
