Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced corporate partner-level attorney to lead complex deals and client relationships in Los Angeles, CA. This role offers front-line dealmaking responsibilities in a supportive environment without the constraints of Big Law. The position provides the opportunity to manage sophisticated transactions with robust internal support and offers flexible work arrangements, including a fully remote option for candidates outside Los Angeles.

Duties

  • Lead mergers and acquisitions, venture capital, and emerging growth transactions from start to finish.
  • Handle complex corporate governance matters, including reorganizations and structuring.
  • Serve as the primary client contact and lead negotiations.
  • Manage and direct internal deal teams.
  • Oversee project budgets and transaction execution through closing.
  • Conduct client calls, meetings, and negotiations with confidence and authority.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of corporate/transactional experience in a large law firm.
  • Strong background in mergers and acquisitions, venture capital, and emerging growth.
  • Experience with complex corporate governance matters.
  • Proven experience leading deals and managing transaction closings.
  • Strong client-facing and negotiation skills.
  • California bar membership preferred.
  • Leadership presence with the ability to take control of transactions and teams.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active bar membership in good standing.
