Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney specializing in Corporate Real Estate to join its Los Angeles office. The position involves supporting and leading complex commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, financing, joint ventures, leasing, and development.

Duties

  • Draft, review, and negotiate transaction documents such as purchase and sale agreements and loan documents.
  • Manage acquisitions and dispositions of commercial real estate assets and related financings.
  • Assist with real estate finance transactions, including drafting loan documents.
  • Support commercial leasing matters for various property types.
  • Conduct due diligence, including title, survey, and zoning analysis.
  • Prepare closing checklists and coordinate closings with relevant parties.

Requirements

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • Admission in good standing in the jurisdiction of practice.
  • 2-5 years of relevant real estate transactional experience.
  • Strong legal writing, drafting, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience with title and survey review and other diligence components.
  • Experience managing transaction documentation from signing through closing.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.)

Certifications

  • Bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction

  • Ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously
