Job Overview

A dynamic and rapidly growing personal injury law firm is seeking a motivated and client-focused attorney to join its team in Ohio. This full-time, in-office role involves managing a diverse caseload of personal injury matters and leading a support team to ensure each case is processed efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in personal injury law, excellent negotiation skills, and a commitment to achieving the best outcomes for clients.

Location

  • Cleveland, Ohio

Duties

  • Conduct comprehensive medical case reviews

  • Negotiate and settle cases in both pre-litigation and litigation stages

  • Review insurance policies, claims, and supporting documentation

  • Prepare, draft, and argue legal documents including memoranda, liability theories, and demand letters

  • Communicate with insurance companies to coordinate billing and treatment for clients

  • Provide case updates and legal guidance to clients regularly

  • Conduct client intake meetings and assess case viability

  • Manage a docket of personal injury cases in accordance with firm policies

  • Attend and conduct IMEs (Independent Medical Examinations), EUOs (Examinations Under Oath), and recorded statements

  • Maintain strict confidentiality and uphold professional standards

  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience practicing personal injury law

  • Strong negotiation, writing, and communication skills

  • Ability to work independently while effectively managing a case team

  • Intermediate to advanced computer and office skills

  • Ability to evaluate legal issues and recommend strategic actions

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Active license to practice law in the State of Ohio (in good standing)

Skills

  • Legal analysis and drafting skills specific to personal injury claims

  • Proficiency in managing multiple cases and deadlines

  • Strong interpersonal and client-facing communication skills

  • Knowledge of personal injury processes and legal procedures

  • Team leadership capabilities and ability to manage paralegal support staff
