Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney in Dallas, TX. This role involves managing a diverse caseload and providing high-quality legal counsel. Duties

  • Manage all aspects of legal cases from inception through resolution, including discovery, motions, and trial preparation.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to support case strategy and legal arguments.
  • Draft, review, and file a wide range of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requests/responses.
  • Represent clients in court appearances, depositions, mediations, and arbitrations.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing regular updates and strategic advice.
  • Collaborate with partners, associates, and support staff to develop effective case strategies.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed case files and billing records.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Active member in good standing with the Texas Bar.
  • 4 years of experience as a practicing attorney preferred; exceptional newly licensed attorneys are welcome to apply.
  • Proven ability to manage a caseload independently.
  • Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Strong oral advocacy and negotiation abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • High level of professionalism and integrity.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active member in good standing with the Texas Bar.
