Lateral Attorney

A law firm seeks experienced lateral attorneys with a portable book of business to join their expanding team in Tampa, FL. Duties:

• Manage a portfolio of clients and provide legal services across various practice areas.
• Generate and maintain a steady flow of business from new and existing clients.
• Collaborate with colleagues to deliver high-quality legal solutions.
• Set your schedule and determine billable hours, with a focus on work-life balance.
• Participate in firm-wide meetings, professional development, and team-building activities.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior attorneys and support staff.
• Contribute to the firm’s growth and success through active business development.

Requirements:

• Established book of business or portable clients.
• Minimum of several years of experience as a practicing attorney.
• Proven track record of client development and management.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and drafting skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admitted to practice law in Florida (required).
• Additional bar admissions in other states are a plus.
