Job Overview

A reputable law firm based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, is seeking a dedicated Associate Attorney for its health care, higher education, and cultural institution practice group. This role offers the opportunity to engage in innovative transactions and financial solutions that support public infrastructure, nonprofit initiatives, and societal needs. This hybrid position involves working three days in the office and two days remotely.

Duties

  • Collaborate on sophisticated transactions involving public finance and innovative financial products.
  • Represent a variety of clients, including governmental units, public agencies, nonprofit organizations, and investment banks.
  • Contribute to projects involving health care, education, cultural institutions, affordable housing, and other community-focused initiatives.
  • Maintain high standards of ethical conduct, client service, and collaborative problem-solving.
  • Provide legal guidance in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Work directly with senior partners and maintain client communication.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2+ years of experience in transactional law, health care law, or a related field.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach to managing tasks and responsibilities.
  • Michigan Bar admission or pending bar admission is required.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to the Michigan State Bar or eligibility for admission.
