Job Overview

A law firm seeks a mid-level Corporate M&A / Private Equity Associate for its Houston, TX office. This full-time position offers an opportunity to work with a dynamic and nationally recognized practice group.

Duties

  • Work with private equity funds, financial sponsors, and portfolio companies on M&A transactions, capital raises, joint ventures, and securities offerings.
  • Draft and negotiate definitive transaction documents, including purchase agreements and governance documents.
  • Address the day-to-day needs of portfolio companies.

Requirements

  • Experience in M&A transactions and related areas.
  • Strong academic background with superior drafting and research skills.
  • Admitted to the Texas Bar.
  • Willingness to participate in community and professional organizations.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Texas.
