Job Overview

A law firm seeks a motivated Discovery Attorney to join their team in Carrollton, TX. The attorney will manage and execute discovery matters across Texas collection litigation, ensuring compliance with all discovery obligations. This role requires strong organizational skills and a proactive approach in a high-volume environment.

Duties

  • Draft, review, and respond to discovery requests, including interrogatories and requests for production.
  • Review and finalize document productions for accuracy and privilege compliance.
  • Maintain and refine discovery templates and workflows.
  • Evaluate objections, privilege issues, and compliance risks.
  • Partner with legal teams to ensure timely discovery obligations.
  • Assist with deposition preparation and discovery-related hearings.
  • Support trial preparation by organizing key documents and evidence.
  • Review and quality-check discovery responses and related work product.
  • Provide feedback to ensure adherence to standards.
  • Collaborate with clients and third-party vendors on data requests.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state rules and ethical standards.

Requirements

  • Licensed and in good standing to practice law in Texas.
  • Ability to analyze cases and negotiate settlements.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
