Job Overview:
A leading law firm is seeking a Real Estate Associate with 3–6 years of experience to join its team in Los Angeles. The ideal candidate will have substantive experience in commercial real estate matters, including acquisitions, dispositions, finance, joint ventures, and development. The position offers significant project responsibility within a collaborative, fast-paced environment and provides the opportunity to work on high-profile transactions with sophisticated clients.

Location:

  • Los Angeles, CA

Duties:

  • Handle commercial real estate transactions from inception to closing

  • Draft and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, loan documents, joint venture agreements, and development agreements

  • Assist clients with due diligence, title and survey review, and closing coordination

  • Provide legal advice on complex real estate structuring and investment strategies

  • Work closely with partners and clients to manage deal execution

  • Support team members across multiple offices as part of a national real estate practice

Requirements:

  • 3–6 years of experience in commercial real estate transactions

  • Experience in acquisitions, dispositions, real estate finance, joint ventures, and development

  • Proven ability to handle significant responsibility on complex deals

  • Large law firm experience preferred

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Diligent, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced setting

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school

  • Strong academic background required

Certifications:

  • Admission to practice law in California

  • In good standing with the California Bar

Skills:

  • Superior drafting and negotiation abilities

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Team-oriented with a collaborative and proactive mindset

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-office team

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
