Job Overview

A law firm seeks a skilled Real Estate Transactional Attorney to join their team in Cedar Rapids, IA. The ideal candidate will have experience in handling transactions involving NNN industrial, commercial, retail, and medical properties, and will be adept at drafting and negotiating commercial leases.

Duties

• Assist clients in acquiring and disposing of various property types.
• Draft and negotiate commercial leases.
• Facilitate property closings.
• Manage transactions from start to finish.
• Develop and grow a personal book of business.

Requirements

• 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong academic background.
• Active attorney license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Ability to obtain admission in the State of Iowa promptly.

Education

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active attorney license.

Skills

• Familiarity with tax increment financing and property tax abatement procedures.
• Strong negotiation and drafting skills.
• Ability to manage complex transactions independently.
