Job Overview:
A reputable law firm is seeking a motivated Associate Attorney to support its litigation team with a focus on general litigation and, ideally, domestic relations. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with at least 2 years of experience who is licensed to practice in Virginia and looking to grow their practice in a client-focused and professional environment.

Location:

  • Warrenton, VA

Duties:

  • Manage client relationships and maintain regular communication

  • Conduct thorough legal research across a range of general litigation and family law issues

  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, and other legal documents

  • Prepare for and attend hearings, depositions, and trials as needed

  • Develop case strategies in collaboration with supervising attorneys

  • Participate in settlement discussions and negotiations

  • Maintain accurate case files and time records

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of relevant legal experience (general litigation required; domestic relations preferred)

  • Demonstrated ability to manage cases independently and meet deadlines

  • Strong client service orientation

  • Willingness to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in the Commonwealth of Virginia (required)

Skills:

  • Excellent legal research and analytical capabilities

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • High level of professionalism and attention to detail
