A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney based in Pasadena, CA. This role supports the Legal Operations Department by bridging communication between operations and legal teams, managing client escalations, coordinating legal training, and ensuring consistency in legal practices. The position involves remote work with occasional travel to California offices.

Duties

  • Provide legal support to the team and clients.
  • Oversee case management processes and operational workflows.
  • Assist in managing the firm's California professional corporation and office operations.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship for California personnel.
  • Coordinate with firm leadership on staffing and operational strategy.
  • Travel to various California office locations as needed.
  • Support quality assurance initiatives across California operations.
  • Handle client escalations and escalate firm risk issues to legal leadership.
  • Coordinate and reinforce legal training across operational teams.
  • Serve as the Legal SME for operational projects.
  • Support process documentation and continuous improvement projects.

Requirements

  • J.D. degree from an ABA-approved law school.
  • Active member in good standing of the California state bar.
  • 3+ years of immigration experience required.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a high-volume environment.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Willingness to travel throughout California approximately 25% of the time.
  • Experience using a case management software system preferred.
  • Support mission of helping people obtain documents and stay with their family.
  • Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, DropBox, and MS Outlook.

Education

  • J.D. degree from an ABA-approved law school.

Certifications

  • Active member in good standing of the California state bar.
