Job Overview

A law firm seeks a litigation attorney in Mill Valley, CA, to join their team in representing plaintiffs in personal injury and medical malpractice cases. The firm is expanding its attorney and support staff to manage a growing caseload.

Duties

  • Manage cases from intake to trial with professional staff support.
  • Conduct research on standard of care, causation, and damages.
  • Review and analyze medical records for injury assessment.
  • Assist in identifying and working with medical and other experts.
  • Investigate liability in various personal injury claims.
  • Draft discovery, pre-trial motions, and mediation statements.
  • Prepare clients for depositions and participate in mediations and trials.

Requirements

  • Interest in litigation within personal injury and medical malpractice.
  • General litigation experience on either plaintiff or defense side preferred.
  • Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to speak a second language, particularly Spanish, is advantageous.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in California.
